Overview

The 2D-Grafik program provides an overview of bitmap-oriented computer graphics, focusing on examples from digital photography and image editing. The program covers various topics, including pixel graphics basics, size and resolution, digital photography, color management, mathematics for image processing, image improvements, filter techniques, image segmentation, morphological operations, image recognition, and tools.

Program Structure

• The program consists of a lecture and an exercise.

• Exercise: Thursdays, 10-12 Uhr, and Tuesdays, 9-11 Uhr, Amalienstr. 17, Raum 105

Target Audience

The program is designed for students of Media Informatics in the main study program or Computer Science in the main study program. Expected prior knowledge includes a diploma in Media Informatics or Computer Science.

Important Dates

• The lecture on December 23, 2005, is cancelled, and the material will be covered in the remaining lectures and exercises.
• The Tuesday group has been moved to room 105 in Amalienstraße 17.
• Due to a holiday on November 1, the deadline for the current worksheet is November 8/10, and the exercise on November 1 is cancelled.
• Participation in the exercise requires registration.
