The Multimedia im Netz (MMN) program is a university course that focuses on multimedia services offered over data networks. The program covers the basic technologies of computer networks, web technologies for interactive multimedia applications, content-related base technologies, and multimedia distributed services.

Course Content

The program deals with multimedia service offerings realized over data networks. It covers:

• Web technologies for interactive multimedia applications
• Content-related base technologies
• Multimedia distributed services
• Multimedia services for individual communication

Target Audience

The program is suitable for:

• Students of Media Informatics (Diplom, Master) or Computer Science (Diplom, Master) with Media Informatics background knowledge
• Students of Media Informatics as a minor with 60 ECTS, compulsory course in the 5th semester (especially students in the Bachelor's program in Art and Multimedia)
