The Seminar Social Media is a university program that provides an overview of the variety of social media and their applications. The program focuses on the development of concepts for using social media for different purposes and target groups.

The seminar is suitable for:


  • Media Informatics (Bachelor) students
  • Art and Multimedia students The seminar can be taken as an in-depth topic for Media Informatics (Bachelor) students, but not as a main subject for Computer Science students.

Performance Records

The requirements for the seminar include:


  • Regular attendance
  • Presentation of the concept of the individual practice project (Wiki, Weblog, or E-Shop)
  • Submission of the concept and screenshots of the practice project (approximately 3-5 DIN-A4 pages)
