The Medientechnik program is designed for Bachelor students of Medieninformatik, providing an overview of techniques for realizing digital media.

Program Details

• Lecture: The lecture covers hardware-related aspects of media technology, including input/output techniques, film/video technology, and basic information on media design.
• Exercise: The exercise focuses on programming media-related applications in Octave.
• Practical: The practical involves creating and processing various media products, such as photos, videos, and audio.

Target Audience

The target audience for this program is Bachelor students of Medieninformatik (main and secondary field) in their 2nd semester.

Evaluation

To receive ECTS credits, students must:

• Register for practical and exercise sessions within the registration period
• Participate in all three practical sessions
• Submit homework for the practical sessions
• Present their results at the end of the semester
• Successfully complete and submit all exercise tasks

Important Notes

• Medientechnik cannot be used as an in-depth topic in the Bachelor Informatik program.
• The program is divided into three main areas: hardware-related aspects, programming, and practical work.
