Program Overview

The Big Data Management and Analytics program is offered by the Institut f³r Informatik department. The course is designed to address the challenges of turning data into information, information into knowledge, and knowledge into value.

Course Description

In almost all areas of business, industry, science, and everyday life, the amount of available data that contains value and knowledge is immense and fast-growing. However, extracting knowledge from data is challenging due to the increasing amount of data, velocity, heterogeneous data sources, and the need to consider data quality and reliability. The course focuses on the key properties of "Big Data," which are referred to as the four V's: Volume, Velocity, Variety, and Veracity.
