Program Overview

The Program of Education Tutorial (PET) is a national government program, subsidized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) and the Secretary of Higher Education (SESu). The PET is developed by groups of students with the tutoring of a teacher, organized from undergraduate courses of Higher Education Institutions in the country, with the objective of academic and professional excellence through teaching, research, and extension activities.

Program Details

The University of Campinas (Unicamp) has two PET groups:

• The PET Chemical Engineering group, led by Professor José Vicente d'Angelo since 2021, aims to qualify the education of its Higher Education Institution and make it a tool for transformation for the surrounding community. Its modus operandi consists of developing teaching, research, and extension activities, promoting the indissociability between these three pillars.
• The group of students from the Faculty of Physical Education, supervised by Professor Helena Altmann, consists of a set of actions that aim to expand the quality of the undergraduate courses included (Physical Education, Pedagogy, Performing Arts, Medicine, Biological Sciences, and Computer Science), also contributing indirectly to the other courses at Unicamp.
