Program Overview
University Program Details
The University's Council of Teaching, Research, and Extension (Cepe) has approved the creation of two new courses: History in the evening period at the Bar„o Geraldo campus, proposed by the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH), and International Relations in the daytime period at the Limeira campus, presented by the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA).
Course Overview
- The courses are expected to be offered starting from 2027, after a final vote in the University Council (Consu).
- The History course, to be offered in the evening period, will have 52 available spots and plans to hire ten new faculty members.
- The IFCH's History course, which will complete 50 years in 2026, has a recognized trajectory of studies and currently has 21 faculty members.
History Course Details
- The course will last nine semestres and will cover strategic themes such as:
- Human rights
- Urbanism
- African and diasporic studies
- Environmental history
- Art history
- Amerindian studies
- Cultural heritage
- The course is designed to be modern, with a focus on understanding Brazilian culture and providing democratic access to education.
International Relations Course Details
- The course will be offered in the daytime period at the Limeira campus.
- The proposal for the International Relations course was presented by the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA).
