Introduction to the Summer School Program
The Escola de VerŃo 2026 do Instituto de FĒsica da UNICAMP is a unique opportunity for students of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Engineering to deepen their knowledge and boost their academic careers. The event, scheduled to take place from February 2 to 6, 2026, will offer an immersive experience in advanced topics, practical mini-courses, and lectures by renowned researchers, as well as visits to the institute's research laboratories.
Objectives
The main objectives of the program are:
- To present the Instituto de FĒsica Gleb Wataghin (IFGW) to students from other institutions through mini-courses on advanced topics, lectures, and guided tours of the research laboratories.
- To foster the exchange of knowledge between students and professors of IFGW and those from other institutions, promoting a collaborative and mutually learning environment.
- To prepare students for postgraduate studies by providing the opportunity to learn fundamental concepts in the areas of Physics investigated at IFGW, as well as highlighting the relevance of these research areas for advances in science and technology.
Cost
The registration fee is R$ 150.00 (one hundred and fifty reais), which includes a coffee break. For students external to UNICAMP, the fee also includes breakfast and lunch at the University Restaurant.
Location
The program will take place at the Audit¾rio do Instituto de FĒsica Gleb Wataghin IFGW/UNICAMP, located in BarŃo Geraldo, Campinas, SP.
Certification
To receive a participation certificate, attendees must have a minimum of 75% attendance at the event and fill out a request form, the link to which will be sent by email after the event. It is essential to verify that the name and email address registered are correct, as corrections will not be possible after submission.
Environmental Considerations
To reduce the use of plastic/paper and minimize the impacts of climate change, participants are requested to bring their notebooks/blocks and pens for possible notes, as well as their water bottles and cups for use during coffee breaks and at the University Restaurant.
