The Healthcare M.B.A. Degree Program
The Healthcare MBA is a comprehensive program designed to develop a leadership mindset and a comprehensive understanding of the business of healthcare. The program is offered part-time, fully remote, and consists of 63 credits that can be completed in 21 months.
Online Healthcare MBA Overview
The program is designed for busy working professionals and features:
- 100% online instruction
- 80% asynchronous, online instruction
- 20% live, online class
- An average of 20-25 hours of work per week
The program focuses on five key areas:
- Understanding the industry
- Leadership and management
- Operations and quality management
- Finance, marketing, and strategy
- Capstone and application projects
Students will learn from outstanding faculty and a peer cohort of experienced healthcare professionals who share a passion for transforming healthcare.
Program Details
The program is offered at the intersection of business and healthcare, benefiting from the combined expertise and network of Oregon Health & Science University's Division of Management and Portland State University's School of Business.
Admission Criteria
- The program is only available to applicants living within the United States.
- TOEFL scores may be required for applicants whose primary language is not English and for applicants with foreign degrees that were not instructed in English.
- Minimum accepted TOEFL scores:
- Paper-based: 625
- Internet-based: 106
- Computer-based: 263
- Scores should be sent directly from Educational Testing Services (ETS) to OHSU using TOEFL Code: 4865 (Oregon Hlth Sci U Sch Medicine).
- The program is offered on a part-time only basis and cannot accept applicants on F-1 or J-1 student visas.
