Radiation Therapy Program

The Radiation Therapy program at Oregon Health & Science University is designed to provide students with the necessary education and training to become competent radiation therapists.


Matriculation Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must meet the following matriculation requirements:


  • Immunizations: All entering students must be current with required immunizations prior to matriculation.
  • Background check: A criminal background check is required for all entering students.
  • Student drug and alcohol testing: All students accepted to the program must successfully pass an initial drug screening at matriculation.
  • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996): Students must complete Information Privacy and Security training before computer access or physical access to areas containing protected health information (PHI) is granted.
  • Respect at the university: Students are required to complete the Respect at the University training to prevent unlawful discrimination and harassment.
  • Integrity foundations: Students are required to complete an Integrity Foundations module annually.
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS): All students are required to have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification designed for Health Care Providers.
