Sleep Medicine Fellowship
The Sleep Medicine Fellowship program at Oregon Health & Science University/Portland VA Medical Center is designed to train well-rounded sleep physicians who will provide outstanding evidence-based medical care.
Program Overview
The program welcomes two fellows a year from a wide variety of backgrounds, including neurology, otorhinolaryngology, psychiatry, internal medicine, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and pulmonary/critical care. The diversity of the professional staff and well-rounded educational opportunities create a uniquely enriching interdisciplinary training environment that best prepares fellows to excel in a full-service sleep clinic.
Clinical Sites
The clinical sites are located at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the Portland VA Medical Center, both of which have busy clinical practices and accredited polysomnography labs. These training sites afford opportunities to care for patients from the entire age spectrum, through time at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, OHSU Hospital, and the Portland VA.
Learning Environment
The program provides a learning environment that allows for excellent work-life balance as well as the opportunity to flourish and become a well-rounded sleep physician. The city of Portland, with its numerous recreational offers, provides a unique and enriching environment for the fellows.
