The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is dedicated to providing a comprehensive education and training experience for future obstetricians and gynecologists.
Program Overview
The program is designed to provide residents with a strong foundation in the clinical and surgical management of women's health, as well as the opportunity to develop their skills in research, education, and leadership.
Curriculum
The curriculum is divided into four years of training, with each year building on the previous one to provide a progressive increase in responsibility and autonomy.
- Year 1: Intern year, focusing on the fundamentals of obstetrics and gynecology
- Year 2: Junior resident, with increased responsibility for patient care and management
- Year 3: Senior resident, with a focus on advanced surgical training and leadership skills
- Year 4: Chief resident, with responsibility for leading the residency team and developing administrative skills
Research Opportunities
