PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy
The PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy residency program provides advanced training in oncology pharmacy practice. The program includes:
Required Rotation Experiences
- Orientation 2 weeks
- Inpatient Adult Surgical/Medical Oncology 2 weeks
- Inpatient Adult Heme Malignancies 3 weeks
- Inpatient Adult Cellular Therapy 5 weeks
- Inpatient Pediatric Oncology and Transplant 4 weeks
- Ambulatory Adult Heme Clinic 3 weeks
- Ambulatory Adult Cellular Therapy Clinic 2 weeks
- Ambulatory Adult Solid/MultiD Clinic 6 weeks
- Ambulatory Adult Community Oncology Clinic 3 weeks
- Informatics 1-2 weeks
- Investigational Drug Service 2 weeks

- Pharmacy Operations/Management (52 weeks)
- Project Management (major project, 52 weeks)

Residents are required to design, conduct, and evaluate a major project related to an aspect of pharmacy practice during the residency year. The resident's major project may have a clinical, research, or practice management focus. PGY2 Oncology residents will complete a flipped project handed down from the previous resident class. In the second half of the year, a new flipped project will be initiated. The Pharmacy Research Committee oversees all resident projects and reports progress to the Residency Advisory Committee. Additional experiences with the Investigational Drug Service or the Institutional Review Board are available to residents interested in research experience.
