French Program Overview

The French program is designed for students who love the French language and culture and want to learn more about its influence in the global marketplace. The Department of French Studies is one of only 15 U.S. programs recognized by the French government as a Centre d'Excellence.

About the Program

The program allows students to learn in a setting where native speakers are all around them. It helps students develop a command of the language and introduces them to French-speaking cultures around the world, including Louisiana's own.
