Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and Research Security Training
The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) provides peer-reviewed, web-based educational courses in research, ethics, regulatory oversight, responsible conduct of research, research administration, and other topics. CITI courses are used worldwide by more than 2,200 organizations and more than 1 million learners around the world annually.
CITI Training
CITI training is required for researchers at Indiana University. The training covers various topics, including human subjects research, responsible conduct of research, and research with animals.
Accessing Indiana University/IU Health CITI Training
To access CITI training, users can create a CITI account by selecting the "I have an IU username and password" option. If a user already has a CITI account, they can transfer their coursework to IU by following the instructions provided.

Users can access their CITI completion record by logging into their CITI account and clicking on the "View-Print-Share" button next to the completed course.
Research Security Training
Research Security Training is required for all senior/key personnel listed in the Kuali Coeus (KC) Proposal Development Document. The training covers research security measures and is estimated to take 1 hour to complete.
