Program Description
As a student in the accelerated B.S. Informatics program, you will learn how to create technology solutions that address and anticipate society's needs. The program allows you to tailor your academic journey to your interests by choosing one of six concentrations:

Concentrations
Business Track
Coursework provides instruction in several areas of business and business management, including accounting, bookkeeping, marketing, human resource management, financial management, and supply chain management.
Game Development Track
Coursework provides instruction in several areas of game design and development, including scripting, 2D & 3D graphics, sound and audio design, digital storytelling, and interactive media design.
Health Information Management Track
Coursework provides instruction in several areas of health information management, including ethics, communication, confidentiality, and data analysis. Students learn to follow standards of a professional healthcare environment and to effectively and accurately analyze healthcare information.
Legal Informatics Track
Students study several skill areas necessary in legal informatics, including specialized technology, handling evidence, information governance, security, privacy, and protection of intellectual property. Students assist with presenting a legal case in court.
Sustainability Track
Students study several skill areas within sustainability studies, including environment, society, and economy, natural science and social science principles of sustainability, and their application to innovative problem-solving and career choices.
Web Development Track
Students learn how to design and develop web applications. Coursework provides instruction in several areas of web development, including client-side web applications, server-side web applications, and web design.

Degree Requirements
To graduate with the B.S. in Informatics, students must complete a total of 120 semester credit hours, broken down as follows:

- Informatics electives (9 credit hours)
- General electives (12-27 credit hours)
Admissions
To be accepted into this program, students must meet the admissions requirements, which vary. The application process includes:
- Completing the application for admission
- Submitting official transcripts
- Submitting an official high school transcript or equivalent (may be required for some applicants)
- Completing an essay (may be required for some applicants)
- International applicants may be asked for additional materials
Transfer Credits
Students may be able to transfer an associate degree or up to 64 credit hours from a regionally accredited two-year college and up to 90 credit hours from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
