Early Childhood Education Degree Requirements
B.S. Education: Early Childhood Education
The Early Childhood Education program allows students to complete the first 2 years at Ivy Tech or Vincennes University and then the last two years at IU Indianapolis.
Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Early Childhood Education program must have:
- An Associate's degree from Ivy Tech or Vincennes University
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 2.5

Block I: Foundations in Early Care and Education - 13 credit hours
- EDUC-E351 - Foundations in Early Care and Education (3 cr)
- EDUC-E330 - Infant Learning Environments (3 cr)

- EDUC-L441 - Bilingual Education (3 cr)
- EDUC-M301 - Lab/Field Experiences-Infant/Toddlers (1 cr)
Block II: Teaching Methods: Part I (Pre K-3) - 13 credit hours

- EDUC-E331 - Literacy Methods in the Early Grades (3 cr)
- EDUC-E332 - Math Methods in the Early Grades (3 cr)
