Program Overview
Introduction to the EdS Program
The EdS program in Educational Leadership is a 60-credit hour degree offered through a collaboration of IU Indianapolis and IU's regional campuses, including IU East, IU Northwest, IU South Bend, and IU Southeast. This fully online degree program provides students with an interest in educational leadership with a comprehensive education.
Program Details
The EdS program in Educational Leadership is designed for students interested in post-Masters study and positions as building or district leaders. The program offers two licensure options:
- Building Level licensure
- District Level licensure Students may also choose to earn both the Indiana District-level Administrators (DLA) and Building-level Administrators (DLA) licenses en route to completing the EdS degree program.
Program Structure
The EdS program in Educational Leadership is a 60-credit hour degree program. Students may transfer up to 36 credit hours into the degree program.
Licensure Options
The EdS program in Educational Leadership offers the following licensure options:
- EdS in Educational Leadership with Building Level licensure: This option is designed for students interested in positions as building leaders.
- EdS in Educational Leadership with District Level licensure: This option is designed for students interested in positions as district leaders.
- EdS in Educational Leadership with Building Level AND District Level licensure: This option allows students to earn both the Indiana District-level Administrators (DLA) and Building-level Administrators (DLA) licenses.
