Program Overview

Introduction to Engage & Thrive

Engage & Thrive is a groundbreaking effort offered in collaboration with Fidelity Investments to create a supportive environment that incentivizes student engagement and rewards positive behaviors. The program aims to empower students to take charge of their education and financial future by helping them to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Engage & Thrive program, students must:

  • Be first-year college enrollees at Indiana University (excludes transfer students)
  • Be classified as a full-time undergraduate
  • Be at least 18 years old by November 1, 2025
  • Possess a valid Social Security Number

Program Structure

The program is designed to encourage participation in high-impact activities and earn financial rewards that go into a personal Fidelity account. Students can choose what to do with the money: save it, invest it, or use it.

Participate

Attend events, complete workshops, or take part in campus programs focused on financial literacy, academic support, career prep, well-being, and more.

Earn

After completing verified activities, students will earn a financial reward deposited into their Fidelity account. The more they engage, the more they earn.

Thrive

Use the account to build healthy financial habits--save for a goal, start investing, or simply enjoy the extra cash.

Sign-up Process

To sign up for Engage & Thrive, students must:

  1. Download the Fidelity Investments app, open an account, and make sure to write down the last 4 digits of the account number.
  2. Fill out the simple Registration Form to opt-in to the program.
