The Email Security Fundamentals program is a certificate program that commenced on April 24, 2017. Upon completion of 5 courses, participants are awarded a certificate.

Program Description

The Email Security Fundamentals program focuses on enhancing email security awareness. The program comprises the following courses:

• Business Email Compromise: Identifying BEC scams, differentiating between the three main types of BEC scams, and reporting a suspected attack.
• Malicious Links: Understanding how hyperlinks can be used to deliver malware and the importance of cautious link clicking.
• Malware: Exploring various forms of malware, including those that spy on activity, allow remote access to drives, or take control of devices.
• Ransomware: Learning about what ransomware is, how it is delivered, its effects, and strategies for minimizing its threat and reporting attacks.
• Spear Phishing: Recognizing the role of spear phishing emails in cyber-intrusion attempts, including targeted attacks delivered via malicious links, file attachments, and login forms.

Program Structure

The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of email security fundamentals through the completion of the aforementioned courses.
