IU Legal Compliance for Managers

Course Overview

This training is administered by IU Human Resources and the IU Office of Civil Rights Compliance. IU Legal Compliance For Managers is designed to provide managers and People Leaders at IU with important information pertaining to federal and state employee protection laws.

Course Requirements

This training is required for all IU staff whose role is classified as a People Leader within the IU Job Framework (PAL and PAX salary designations).

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this series, participants will better understand employee rights and protections under federal law and IU policy and be able to:

• Identify how and when these regulations and policies impact employees and work teams.
• Recognize their role as a manager in ensuring employees' rights and protections.
• Recall who and/or where to access resources to assist when these issues arise.

Course Details

• The audience for the compliance training is Staff People Leaders at IU.
• This training should take 3 hours to complete, though timing will vary.
