Program Fees & Cost
The cost of the Program for Intensive English (PIE) depends on which class or classes you will take (full-time or part-time). The cost may also be different depending on your visa requirements.
F-1 Students (International)
International students who come to the U.S. from another country with F-1 visa status must study full-time classes at PIE (in person). Studying full-time means taking 3 classes in your level (Reading/Writing + Listening/Speaking + Grammar). International students are also required to maintain health insurance through the university and pay an International Student Services fee.
- Program Fee (Tuition): $2,850.00 USD per session
- Required Health Insurance: around $325.00 USD per session
- Required International Student Fee: around $52.00 USD per session

Please note that the costs listed do not include housing, food, books, or transportation. These are additional expenses that the student is responsible for. For budgeting purposes, the estimated cost of attendance including housing, transportation, food, and other living requirements for an F-1 student is estimated to be around $6,789 per session at PIE.
Showing Proof of Financial Resources as an F-1 student
Students who want to come to the U.S. with an F-1 student visa must have an I-20 form generated by IU Indianapolis. The U.S. Government requires proof of financial resources for the university to create the I-20 form. The proof of financial resources is just to show that you have enough money to support the cost of your program fee and cost of living while studying in the USA.
