Washington, D.C. Accelerator Program
Program Overview
The Washington, D.C. Accelerator Program integrates the traditional Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree with an immersive experience in the heart of the nation's capital.
Program Structure
Students spend their first year on the IU Bloomington campus, then move to Washington, D.C., for their second year, where they choose between a semester- or yearlong internship. While working in D.C., they continue their coursework through a mix of online and in-person classes, all taught by O'Neill School faculty.
Program Benefits
This program provides the same core courses, concentration options, capstone, and experiential requirements as the traditional MPA, but with the added benefit of working and networking with O'Neill alumni and D.C.-based partners. With no additional time commitment and the same tuition, students can earn their MPA degree while launching their careers in Washington, D.C.
