Program Overview


Introduction to the O-NECUS Exchange Program

The O-NECUS project is a collaborative effort between Japan's Okayama University and four universities in China's Northeast region, including Jilin University, Harbin Medical University, China Medical University, and Dalian Medical University. This program aims to provide international-standard education and cultivate outstanding international talent.

The learning time for the program is from October 2020 to September 2021.

Okayama University can accept students from the following professionals, with specific information on guiding professors available in Attachment 1.


Enrollment Conditions

To be eligible for the program, students must meet the following conditions:


  • Be a full-time non-commissioned master's student in the 2019 class of Jilin University's School of Medicine
  • Be physically and mentally healthy, with excellent academic and moral character, and no disciplinary record
  • Have no make-up courses
  • Meet the language requirements, including English TOEFL, IELTS, National English Level 6, or Japanese language proficiency test level 2 (specific requirements are listed in Attachment 1)

Fees

  • Tuition fees are waived during the study period at Okayama University, but students must pay normal tuition fees to Jilin University
  • Students are responsible for accommodation fees, international travel fees, living expenses, and insurance

Enrollment Requirements and Procedures

  1. Students must discuss their study plan with their supervisor and the teaching and research unit, including course selection, internships, and credit recognition after returning to school.
  2. Students must prepare the required materials according to Attachment 1, fill out the "Jilin University Student Overseas Study Application Form (for graduate students)", and obtain the signature and seal of their supervisor and unit leader.
  3. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office will uniformly recommend eligible students to Okayama University, which will conduct a selection exam and determine the final admission results.

Deadline and Location

  • The deadline for application is November 7th (Thursday)
  • The application location is Room A628, Dingxin Building, Central Campus

The program is designed to promote academic exchange and cooperation between Japan and China, and to foster a new generation of leaders with international perspectives and expertise.
