Program Overview


Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH)

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree prepares students to make a difference in the health of local and global communities. Students can choose from two concentrations based on their area of interest.


Concentrations

  • Health Policy and Behavioral Sciences Concentration: This concentration provides students with knowledge and skills to design and evaluate public health programs and policies, advocate for change, assess health care delivery and management, and address health disparities and inequities.
  • Population Health Sciences Concentration: This concentration provides foundational knowledge and skills to collect and analyze data on social, behavioral, biological, and environmental factors that influence human health, and to turn data into action by strengthening the ability to advocate for the protection and promotion of the public's health.

Accelerated BS/MPH Program

The School of Public Health offers an accelerated 4+1 Bachelor of Science/Master of Public Health program to eligible undergraduate students. This program is rigorous and demanding, providing high-achieving students the opportunity to earn up to 16 graduate credits while completing their Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree.
