The Japanese Training for Advanced Studies program is designed for international students.

Program Details

All MEXT scholars have made a decision whether they would take JTAS throughout the application procedure of MEXT Scholarship. Therefore, even though you are a MEXT scholar, you cannot apply for JTAS after your arrival.

• Please consider applying for Fall Semester (application period: around mid September)
  • or taking another Japanese Course.

Frequently Asked Questions

• The deadline has already passed, but may I apply?
• (Right after your arrival) I did get permission from my academic supervisor about taking part in JTAS, so may I join the program?
• I would like to take only General Japanese, Conversation, and Culture classes.
• I do not want to take the Kanji class.

Program Information
