Introduction to the Young Leaders' Program
The Young Leaders' Program (YLP) at Nagoya University is a prestigious one-year master's course in Healthcare Administration, conducted entirely in English. Established in 2003, the program aims to cultivate future national leaders in healthcare from participating countries, fostering international collaboration and contributing to the development of healthcare systems worldwide.
Program Overview
Hosted by the Graduate School of Medicine, the YLP provides an extensive education in healthcare administration, medical economics, and medical statistics. The curriculum is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in healthcare policy-making, management of medical institutions, and public health initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates are administrators, up to 40 years old, from participating countries, with a minimum of three years' experience in healthcare policy, administration of medical institutions, or public health activities. Applicants should hold a college degree or equivalent in medicine, public health, or science and demonstrate potential for future leadership roles in their respective countries.

Scholarship and Support
The YLP is part of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program, which covers:
- Tuition
- Provides a monthly stipend
- Includes travel expenses to and from Japan This support ensures that participants can fully engage in their studies and cultural experiences during their time at Nagoya University.
Program Details
Each year, approximately 10 students are selected for this program. The program's structure and content are designed to provide a comprehensive education in healthcare administration, preparing participants for leadership roles in their home countries.
