Program Overview

Introduction to the NUFSA Japanese Language Course

The NUFSA Japanese Language Course is sponsored by the Nagoya University Foreign Students Association (NUFSA) and supported by a dedicated team. The course offers twice-weekly classes where students learn Japanese using textbooks under the guidance of specialized Japanese language instructors. By participating in this course, students can not only improve their Japanese language skills but also expand their social network by getting to know other international students' families and local people.

Target Participants

The course is designed for family members (spouses, siblings, parents) of international students, researchers, or faculty members at Nagoya University who require Japanese language training. In principle, individuals not affiliated with Nagoya University are not eligible to enroll.

Course Period

The course is offered during two semesters:

  • Spring semester (May to July)
  • Fall semester (November to January)
