Program Overview
The Laboratorio de escritura autoral: feminismos, cruces y procesos is a course offered by the Educaci鏮 Continua Escuela de Postgrado FCEI. The program is designed to explore and develop participants' own voices in writing, focusing on the exercise of writing as a tool for artistic, critical, and political expression.
Course Details
- Duration: The course will take place from May 4, 2026, to July 13, 2026.
- Schedule: Sessions will be held on Mondays from 18:30 to 21:00 hrs.
- Total Hours: 27.5 hours.
- Modality: Online-synchronous via Zoom.
- Target Audience: The course is open to individuals from any discipline interested in exploring authorial writing and literature as an artistic and micropolitical practice.
Objectives
General Objective
The general objective of the course is to write an authorial text for publication as part of a collective digital book, which can be understood within genres such as essay, chronicle, short story, prose, poem, autobiography, or non-fiction.
Specific Objectives
- Develop the authorial voice from an artistic and political perspective.
- Discover new possibilities for creation and different paths to initiate the construction of a text.
- Recognize procedures for developing a text from a feminist perspective, through experimentation and free exploration.
- Establish habits and strategies for written practice as a foundational act of action and thought.
- Identify the processes and steps that integrate the writing, editing, and publication of a text.
Competencies to Develop
- Development and recognition of the voice and authorial work.
- Ability to create texts from different points of view and formats with a political and feminist perspective.
- Learn to resolve writing challenges from various demands and challenges.
- Ability to develop a text with creative and emancipatory potential.
- Reading and recognition of key authors and artists to understand and deepen literature as an artistic discipline and micropolitical practice.
- Experience in making decisions to structure a text and recognize the various records in which it is possible to inscribe it.
- Stimulate students to recognize and develop their writing technique through practical exercises and constructive feedback in a safe space.
- Provide information on how to prepare a text for publication and how to approach possible editorial processes.
Relatora
The course will be led by Naomi Orellana, a writer, communicator, programmer, and cultural manager. She created Imagen y Palabra, a platform for artistic creation, production, and diffusion, in 2018. Orellana is a journalist from the University of Chile and works as a communicator in art, culture, and education projects. She periodically writes articles that transit between criticism, interviews, reports, and essays, and has published several books.
Requirements for Postulation
- Participants must send their identity card by both sides in a PDF file.
- Complete the Registration Form.
Tuition Fee
The course has a tuition fee of 300,000 Chilean pesos.
Additional Information
This program requires a minimum number of enrolled participants to be imparted. Due to force majeure, it may experience changes in its programming, teaching staff, and/or format of realization. Any changes will be informed by the area in charge.
