Description
The Diploma of Postgraduate Specialization in Landscape and Green Infrastructure is an instance aimed at training professionals in the area of planning, development, and construction of landscape architecture and green infrastructure projects. This program focuses on technical aspects that allow for innovative solutions, based on the delivery of sustainable proposals and the efficient use of resources.
Objectives
General
- Promote interdisciplinary specialization in the planning, design, management, construction, and maintenance of landscape and green infrastructure projects in their different scales and functions.
Specific
- Know and operate the general criteria for development and coordination of disciplines and specialists related to landscape and green infrastructure projects.
- Propose solutions through a multidisciplinary, systemic, and technological innovation perspective, based on the understanding of environmental, physical, social, historical, aesthetic, and economic dynamics to create landscape and green infrastructure projects.
- Define and understand the levels and instances of participation of the different actors that influence decision-making involving the enhancement and quality of landscape and green infrastructure projects.
Profile of Graduates
The graduate of this Diploma is a person committed to local and regional reality, with environmental, social, and aesthetic sensitivity, who promotes interdisciplinary work, relating to different means and with different actors in the decision-making processes in the different phases of development of landscape and green infrastructure projects.

Plan of Studies
The plan of study for the Diploma of Postgraduate Specialization in Landscape and Green Infrastructure is organized into three modules:
Module 1: Landscape, Green Infrastructure, and Planning
Presents the theoretical concepts that underpin landscape and green infrastructure projects, aiming to present and review mainly the planning and management processes, along with the evaluation methods that are part of the study and consolidation of this type of project.
Module 2: Techniques and Practices in Specialties of Landscape and Green Infrastructure Projects
Presents the technical aspects to consider for planning, leading, organizing, and/or participating in the different disciplines that are part of green space projects, prioritizing the delivery of information and discussion of design, construction, and maintenance alternatives for landscape and green infrastructure projects.
Module 3: Economic and Social Evaluation in Landscape and Green Infrastructure Projects
Presents the analysis and discussion of the different instances and methodologies of evaluation and feasibility related to landscape and green infrastructure projects.
Academic Requirements
Can be applied for by those in possession of a Bachelor's degree and/or Professional Title of at least 8 semesters in disciplines related to the Program. For applicants who hold a higher technical degree, the program coordinator will evaluate the professional profile case by case for admission.

Graduation Requirements
Each module will end with an evaluation. To obtain the Diploma, the student must pass the program evaluation with a minimum grade of 4.0 (on a scale of 1.0 to 7.0) and meet the attendance requirement of 80%.
