The Diploma de Postítulo en Danza: Cuerpo, Artes y Educación is a theoretical and practical program focused on contemporary dance, where aspects of corporeality, arts, and education intersect. The program aims to nourish the pedagogical work of each participant from experiences based on different currents and practices associated with dance, as a germ of reflection, discussion, and joint creation.
Objective General
The general objective of the program is to deliver didactic strategies of dance to apply in different educational contexts, with an emphasis on the pedagogical dimension, arts, and corporeality as construction and production of knowledge and approach to artistic languages in an integrated form.
Objectives Specific
The specific objectives of the program are:
- Promote sensitive, reflective, and creative bodily experience, analyzing the approach to dance from artistic education and its scope in a society based on diversity.
- Reflect critically on the presence and relevance of corporeality in education, promoting the development of dance, art, and education projects in a contextualized manner.
- Value procedures of contemporary arts, such as experimenting, creating, and investigating from interdisciplinary practice, to facilitate cooperative processes with a rights perspective, based on critical analysis of the pedagogical phenomenon.
Plan of Formation
The plan of formation includes the following courses-modules:
- Danza: corporalidad, espacialidad y temporalidad
- Construcción Pedagógica y Curricular para una educación contemporánea desde las artes, el cuerpo y la estética
- Comunidades de aprendizaje: Perspectiva de derecho y diversidad
- Corporalidad, aprendizaje y mediación pedagógica
- Didáctica: Enfoque pedagógico de la Danza en contextos diversos
- Laboratorio: corporalidad y creación artística/danza e interdisciplinariedad
- Proyecto final
Directed to
The program is directed to:
- Persons linked to the field of arts and education, interested in generating interdisciplinary learning from bodily, artistic, and pedagogical aspects.
- Educators of Párvulos, General Basic Education, Middle and Higher Education, Professors of Physical Education and Arts, Graduates in Dance, Artists, and other professionals related to bodily, artistic, and educational areas.
Modality
The program modality includes:
- Online synchronous classes via Zoom and face-to-face sessions.
- Program duration: 270 hours (145 direct hours and 125 indirect hours).
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:30 to 21:00 hours and one face-to-face Saturday per month, from 09:00 to 13:00 hours.
Methodology
The program methodology includes:
- Theoretical-practical experiences through modules.
- Methodological strategies such as research work, project work, exhibitions, collaborative interdisciplinary work, discussion groups, creation practice, application exercises, and systematization of experiences.
Requirements of Admission
The requirements for admission are:
- Academic degree or professional title in areas related to the program, such as arts, humanities, or artistic education.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Letter of motivation.
Requirements of Approval of the Program
The requirements for approval of the program are:
- Having taken all the modules of the program with a minimum attendance of 75%.
- Having approved all the modules of the program (approval grade: 4.0).
- Having presented and approved the final work (approval grade: 4.0).
Discounts on the Tuition Fee
The discounts on the tuition fee are:
- 25% discount for University of Chile officials.
- 10% discount for payment in cash until March 31.
- 5% discount for payment in cash until April 30.
- 15% discount for persons providing services to the Faculty of Arts with a valid agreement.
- 10% discount for University of Chile graduates and students who have taken and approved continuing education programs.
- 10% discount for public education establishment teachers with a valid contract or agreement.
