The Diploma in Medical Informatics in Imaging: RIS-PACS Systems is a comprehensive program designed to address the growing need for professionals in the health sector with expertise in medical informatics. This program is offered by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Chile.

Description

The rapid advancement of technology in the health sector has created a significant gap between the expectations of health professionals and the actual capabilities of the systems used in hospitals. This program aims to bridge this gap by providing professionals, particularly those in the health sector, with the necessary training in medical informatics to design and implement information systems in medicine.

• Total Hours: 239 hours (233 asynchronous and 6 synchronous hours, divided into 3 sessions of 2 hours each)

• Vacancies: Minimum 15, maximum 60 students
• Tuition Fee: $1,700,000
• Schedule: To be defined with the students during the last week of modules 2, 3, and 4, at a time to be determined.

Target Audience

• Professionals in the health sector related to the field of imaging, with a formation of 10 semestres or more.

Contents

The program is structured into four modules:

• Módulo 1: Introduction to Medical Informatics
• Módulo 2: Fundamentals of RIS
• Módulo 3: Fundamentals of PACS
• Módulo 4: Security and Management

Pre-Registration

The pre-registration process involves completing a form with personal and professional details. After pre-registering, applicants will be contacted by a commercial assistant who will provide instructions on how to proceed with the registration process through the Student Portal.

Registration Requirements

1. Complete the pre-registration form.
2. If the applicant's profile matches the program's requirements, they will be contacted by a commercial assistant to proceed with the registration.
3. Through the Student Portal, applicants must:
   • Complete the "Personal Information" form with their background.
   • Attach required documents:
     • Copy of the professional university degree certificate.
     • Photocopy of the Identity Card (both sides) or a valid Passport (for foreigners).
     • Updated Curriculum Vitae.
   • Read and electronically accept the "Conditions of Registration" of the program.
