Program Overview
The Diploma in Intensive Kinesiology is a blended-learning program offered by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Chile. The program is designed for licensed kinesiologists and professionals in the field of health.
Description
The program focuses on the attention to critical patients, incorporating various programs to organize and provide sanitary standards of high quality. The creation of Systems of Primary Attention of Urgency (SAPU), Systems of Medical Attention of Urgencies (SAMU) in the prehospital area, Hospital Emergency Units (UMH), and finally, Units of Critical Patients (UPC), where a concept of progressive attention to the patient operates according to their severity.

Contents
The program is divided into modules:
- Mµdulo 1: Fundamentals of intensive kinesiology
- Mµdulo 2: Kinesiological evaluation of the critical patient
- Mµdulo 3: Respiratory therapy and mechanical ventilation in the critical patient
- Mµdulo 4: Kinesiological intervention of the critical patient
Unidad Ejecutora and Certification
The program is executed by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Chile, and the certification is provided by the same institution.
Requisitos de Inscripciµn
To apply, candidates must:
- Complete the pre-inscription form.
- If selected, candidates will be contacted by a commercial assistant who will provide instructions to access the "Portal Estudiantes".
- In the portal, candidates must complete the "Information Personal" form and attach required documents:
- Copy of the professional title certificate
- Photocopy of the Identity Card (both sides) or valid Passport (for foreigners)
- Updated Curriculum Vitae
- Accept the "Conditions of Inscription" electronically.
Docentes
The program is directed by Klgo. Daniel Arellano Sepºlveda and coordinated by Klgo. Roberto Vera Uribe. The faculty includes various professors and invited lecturers from the University of Chile and other institutions.
