Program Overview
The Diploma in Methodologies for the Construction, Validation, and Analysis of Questionnaires in Health is a postgraduate program designed for professionals in the health sector. The program aims to provide students with the theoretical foundations and methodological techniques necessary for the construction, validation, and analysis of questionnaires in health.
Objectives
The program's objectives are to:
- Know the theoretical foundations and apply the most frequent methodological techniques used in the construction, validation, and analysis of questionnaires in the health field, with an emphasis on the use of statistical tools and specialized software.
- Understand the types of validation and reliability indices most frequently used in the construction of health measurement scales.
- Apply the techniques of scale validation in STATA according to the Classical Test Theory (CTT).
- Know the theoretical foundations and technical aspects of the Item Response Theory (IRT) model employed in the analysis and validation of tests, applying them in the interpretation of results obtained in STATA using real or simulated data.

Module I: Design, Instrumentality, and Measurement
- Class 1: Basic elements for constructing a questionnaire
- Class 2: Variables and types of questions in questionnaire construction
- Class 3: Techniques for constructing questionnaire questions
- Class 4: Introduction to STATA
- Class 5: Operationalization of variables in STATA
- Class 6: Statistical analysis of data from questionnaires in STATA

- Class 2: Descriptive statistics with STATA
- Class 3: Fundamental concepts for validating scales in health
- Class 4: Example application of the HLS-EU instrument version adapted to Spanish in Chile. Health literacy in the Greater Concepción area

Module IV: Theory and Application of IRT Models for the Validation of Tests with Dichotomous and Graduated Polytomic (Likert) Response

Evaluation
Each module includes a summative evaluation (control) with multiple-choice questions. The subjects covered in each control correspond to those addressed in the classes disposed of in the platform in the corresponding module. The controls will be available for 48 hours, but only 1 hour will be available to respond. In modules III and IV, two applied work evaluations will be carried out using the STATA software. The final grade of the diploma will correspond to the weighted average of the approval grades of each module.
Dedication
A weekly dedication of 8 hours is estimated for the participants.
Profile of Graduates
Graduates of the Diploma will be able to understand the foundations and methodological techniques used in the construction, validation, and analysis of questionnaires in health. They will know the types of validation and reliability indices most frequently used in the construction of health measurement scales and will be able to apply the techniques of scale validation in STATA according to the CTT. They will also understand the theoretical foundations and technical aspects of the IRT model employed in the analysis and validation of tests, applying them in the interpretation of results obtained in STATA.

- Expand their knowledge of methodological techniques for constructing, validating, and/or analyzing questionnaires.
- Know and/or expand their knowledge of the methodological statistical techniques for analyzing and validating questionnaires.
- Develop skills in handling STATA software for the analysis and validation of questionnaires.

Requirements

- Professional university title or academic degree (accredited with a copy of the obtained certificate)
- Simple copy of the Identity Card
- Having taken at least one statistics course in their professional development.
Modality
This Diploma includes synchronous activities through the Zoom platform, requiring a minimum attendance of 90%.
