Program Overview

The Curso de Vuelo, Fotogrametría y Modelos 3D con Dron is a professional development course offered by the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo at the Universidad de Chile.


Course Description

The course aims to provide professionals with the skills to apply methodologies of spatial analysis and photogrammetry using drones. The program will cover the use of drones in geographic information systems, photogrammetry processes, and 3D modeling of spatial objects.


Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:


  • Apply methodologies of spatial analysis and photogrammetry to orthorectified images
  • Create 3D models using drones

Course Contents

The course will cover the following topics:


  • Normative framework and basic knowledge of drone regulation
  • Photogrammetry processes with drones
  • Applications of drones in geographic information systems
  • Conceptual development of geomatics and the role of drones
  • 3D modeling of spatial objects

Methodology

The course will be primarily practical, with sessions focused on direct work with computers. Students will work on exercises and projects that apply the course contents to their professional contexts.


Evaluation

Students will be evaluated through a final project, which will be graded on a scale of 1 to 7. To pass the course, students must obtain a minimum grade of 4.0 and attend at least 75% of the sessions.
