Diploma in Arabic Language

The Diploma in Arabic Language is a program where students learn the language through practice in both written and oral forms. The program has three different levels, which are taught annually, with the ultimate goal of enabling students to handle Arabic texts without translation problems, using dictionaries, and understanding the grammar, syntax, and morphology of Arabic.

Program Details

• The program is organized by the Center for Arabic Studies.
• The program starts on April 6, 2026, and ends on November 3, 2026.
• Classes are held online via Zoom.
• The program is directed at individuals who possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or a professional title, academic degree, or similar qualifications.

Objectives

• To provide the necessary grammatical and lexicographical foundations for a good command of the Arabic language.
• To enable students to understand and produce oral and written Arabic.
• To train students in the translation of Arabic to Spanish and Spanish to Arabic, focusing on written texts.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants must submit an admission request accompanied by the following documents:
  • Certificate of high school diploma or professional title, academic degree, or similar.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Copy of ID (both sides).

Schedule

• Basic and Intermediate Levels: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:15 PM.
• Advanced Level: Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
• Classes are transmitted live via Zoom, allowing for distance learning.

Tuition Fee

• The tuition fee for the program is $870,000.

Discounts

• 50% discount for undergraduate students, officials, and academics of the University of Chile, provided they have a appointment or designation of no less than 22 hours a week and more than one year of seniority in the institution.
• 40% discount for undergraduate students of the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences, who accredit such condition.
• 40% discount for those who are taking a Diploma taught by the Center at the time of applying for the benefit.
• 25% discount for those who have completed Diplomas or courses taught by the Center.
• 25% discount for groups of people from the same cultural or educational organization, duly accredited.
• 5% discount for payment in cash or in certain installments.
• 50% discount for postgraduate students of the University of Chile who accredit such condition.
• 25% discount for graduates of the University of Chile.
