Program Overview

The Diploma of Postgraduate Studies in Management of Artistic and Cultural Heritage is a virtual program that aims to train and update professionals in the accelerated epistemological changes, patrimonialization processes, and practices exercised on heritage (material and intangible) over the last few decades.

Objective

The program's general objective is to develop competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities in students for their professional exercise through the acquisition of methodologies, theories, and practices in the area of project management in material and intangible heritage, according to quality standards.

Specific Objectives

• Know the disciplinary, theoretical, and methodological scope of heritage and acquire work tools in the treatment and management of the same.
• Generate heritage management projects using methodological tools, case analysis, and reviewing current practices in heritage management that allow for the valorization or declaration of heritage.
• Develop innovative and creative proposals for the valorization or re-signification of heritage, attending to the current health and social context.

Plan of Formation

The diploma is designed in theoretical, practical, and methodological modules in the areas of anthropology, legislation, declaration, and management, with the aim of covering the wide range of competencies, knowledge, and skills required today, both discursive and organizational and heritage management, necessary for the design of projects to find a sense to concretize plans for the management, improvement of heritage in its physical, care, extension, and social valuation aspects.

Target Audience

• Professionals working in museums, art galleries, corporations, or cultural centers, foundations.
• Individuals with a degree or title and/or working in the fields of heritage.

Modality

• Synchronous classes via Zoom and the EOL platform.
• Asynchronous activities with a tutor and teaching team.
• Total of 216 chronological hours.
• Evening schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 19:00 hours.

Admission Requirements

2. Digital photograph 3x4 cm.
3. Academic titles and degrees.
4. Proof of payment of the registration fee.
5. Digitalized identity card or passport on both sides.

Approval Requirements

• Attendance: 80%.
• Approval of all module works equivalent to 60%.
• Approval of the final project equivalent to 40%.

Tuition Fees

• Registration fee 2024: $50,000 (non-refundable).
• Tuition fee 2024: $1,408,000 (non-refundable).
• The opening of the program is subject to the number of enrolled students. Payment of the registration fee does not guarantee selection for the program. Once the program reviews the backgrounds of applicants, it communicates the selection as appropriate.
