Internships and Internships II Semester at the Museum of American Popular Art
The Tom·s Lago Museum of American Popular Art (MAPA) is offering internships in various areas, including:
Archive and Documentation Area
- Description: Collaborate in the entry of information into registration forms based on the international standard for archival description.
- Requirements: Students or graduates with an interest in areas such as art, culture, ethnography, photography, and documentation.
- Duration: August-December 2014
- Hours: Tuesdays: 3-6pm, Wednesdays: 10:30-1:30pm and 3-6pm, Thursdays: 10:30-1:30pm.
- Availability: 5 positions
Collection Management area
- Description: Work with the internal software for collection management, verifying the information migrated from the inventory to the software, and entering new storage locations.
- Requirements: Students or professionals in the area of humanities, culture, and arts.
- Duration: August-December 2014
- Availability: 6 positions
Design area
- Description: Participate in the generation of proposals for the development of the graphic line and production of educational notebooks and digital publications.
- Requirements: Students or professionals in the area of graphic design or visual arts.
- Duration: Starting August 25, duration to be agreed upon.
- Availability: 2 positions
Photographic and Audiovisual Registration Area
- Description: Maintain updated and quality images of the pieces in the collection, and register events and exhibitions.
- Requirements: Students or professionals in the area of photography and/or visual arts.

Application Process
To apply for these internships, students must submit their CV and portfolio (if required) and participate in an interview with the area coordinator. The internships are not remunerated, but a certificate will be provided upon completion.
