Program Overview

The University of Chile offers a Professional Specialist Degree in Dento Maxillofacial Radiology. This program is designed to provide advanced training in the field of radiology, with a focus on the diagnosis and management of oral and maxillofacial diseases.


Program Description

The program is a 4-semester course that includes both theoretical and practical training. The curriculum covers various aspects of radiology, including imaging techniques, interpretation of radiographic images, and radiation protection. The program also includes clinical rotations in hospitals and clinics, where students can gain hands-on experience in radiology.

    • Contribuir a la Resolución de Problemas de Salud Maxilofacial: Contribute to the planning of treatments and participate in the promotion, prevention, and diagnosis of maxillofacial diseases.
    • Garantizar la Seguridad y Protección Radiológica: Apply radiation protection norms and ensure the quality of images and reports.
    • Fomentar el Pensamiento Crítico y Ética Profesional: Develop a critical and ethical attitude in professional practice, with a commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation to scientific and technical advances.
    • Fortalecer Habilidades de Comunicación y Trabajo en Equipo: Develop effective communication skills and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Admission Requirements

To apply for the program, candidates must:


  • Hold a professional title in Dentistry, issued by a Chilean or foreign university recognized officially.
  • Submit a documented CV, which will be evaluated using a weighted scoring system.
  • Pass an interview, which will assess competencies, motivations, and professional projections.

Tuition Fees

The annual tuition fee for the program is $12,095,576 Chilean pesos, which is equivalent to 305,108 UF (Unidad de Fomento). A 10% discount is available for University of Chile alumni.
