Introduction to the Magíster en Desarrollo y Cooperación Internacional

The Magíster en Desarrollo y Cooperación Internacional aims to strengthen the professional capacities of students in the field of development and international cooperation. This program provides conceptual instruments and practical tools for professional development.

Program Structure

The Magíster en Desarrollo y Cooperación Internacional is structured around three research lines:

Desarrollo Internacional

This line focuses on generating studies and projects centered on international development. It develops foundational knowledge to strengthen learning in the initial modules of the master's program. Practically, this line enables professionals to develop tools and skills for employment in development policies, programs, and projects at local, national, and regional levels.

Cooperación Internacional

This line allows for an understanding of cooperation not as an isolated exercise but as a crucial element within the dynamics and balances of international relations. It also enables the development of analysis tools and techniques linked to the practical aspect of international cooperation.

Política Pública Global

The third line focuses on learning tools to formulate and develop global public policies. Given the specific aspects involved in negotiating and establishing long-term public policy frameworks, it is relevant to establish knowledge about the formulation, management, and negotiation of initiatives, paying special attention to the particularities of the public policy agenda in globalized society.

Complementary Area of Work

There is a complementary work area related to the formation of students in research methods. For this, the MEDCI has incorporated a formation line called Métodos, which groups courses aimed at delivering methods and practical tools for professional and academic development. Within the framework of these courses, students will be supported in developing their AFE, which should be oriented towards analyzing the topics addressed by the Program.

Schedule and Time Commitment

Classes are held in a hybrid modality, with partial evening sessions, from Monday to Thursday between 18:30 and 20:30 hours, and some Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.
