Program Overview


Diploma of Professional and Labor Development in Economic and Social History of Republican Chile

Presentation

The program aims to deepen the understanding of national historical processes from the perspective of Economic and Social History, with an emphasis on the impact on the well-being and inequality of the population. This is achieved by examining the models of growth implemented in Chile, considering their results in relation to the Latin American region and developed countries, especially their effects on the living conditions and social cohesion of the majority of the population.


Profile of Graduates

Graduates of the program will have the initial training to comprehend the economic trajectory of Chile since its independence, through a permanent comparison with countries in the region and successful references, as well as from a vision centered on people and their final well-being.

Applicants must have completed at least two semesters of a professional career or a bachelor's, licentiate, or postgraduate program.

The tuition fee for the program is $1,244,000.


Program Organization

The program is organized by the Department of Historical Sciences and is directed at individuals interested in applying knowledge and competencies related to economic formation at secondary and tertiary education levels, as well as in disciplinary activities associated with it.
