The Diploma in Manual Therapy Artro-Neuro-Musculoskeletal (ANME) is a semi-presential program offered by the University of Chile, aimed at strengthening advanced clinical competencies for the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. The program is designed for kinesiologists and licensed professionals in kinesiology.

Program Structure

The program combines theoretical classes online (synchronous and asynchronous) with intensive practical sessions, utilizing the U-Courses platform and the infrastructure of the Department of Kinesiology. The program's structure consists of 360 hours (13 credits), distributed across theoretical modules, practical sessions, autonomous work, development of clinical cases, and a research project.

Objectives

The program's formative purpose is to equip participants with tools to identify joint dysfunctions of hypo and hypermobility and apply techniques such as joint mobilization, HVLA manipulations, and joint stabilization, following a clinically-based approach on evidence and the biopsychosocial model.

Duration and Schedule

The diploma program takes place from March 31, 2026, to March 13, 2027, with theoretical classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:00 to 22:00 hrs, and practical activities on scheduled weekends.

Faculty

The teaching staff consists of academics and specialists from the Department of Kinesiology, along with invited lecturers of extensive experience.

Evaluation and Assessment

The formative process includes theoretical evaluations, applied work, bibliographic review, imaging analysis, and a clinical case on video. The final theoretical-practical exam defines the program's conclusion. To pass, a minimum grade of 4.0 and attendance of 80% in practical activities and 90% in online activities are required.

Enrollment and Fees

The program has a limited enrollment of 25 to 40 participants, with a tuition fee of $1,900,000. Discounts are available for University of Chile graduates, public health professionals, and Faculty of Medicine staff.
