Course Descriptions and Schedule
The program consists of three courses:
CSUE1100 Fundamentals of User Experience Design
Fundamentals of UX Design introduces the essential methods and tools of user experience design, distinguishing UX from UI and covering core concepts like usability, accessibility, and human-centered design. The course emphasizes applying these principles in real-world contexts, integrating emerging tools like AI in the UX process.
CSUE1110 User Experience Design Research
UX Design Research equips students with essential skills in planning and conducting user research for UX design. This course covers foundational research methods and strategies, teaching students how to develop effective research plans and conduct interviews and usability testing.
CSUE1120 User Experience Visual Design, Prototyping and Wireframing
Visual Design, Wireframing & Prototyping teaches students how to create effective user interfaces by defining content hierarchy, navigation structures, and layouts through information architecture and user flow diagrams. The course covers the creation of high-fidelity mock-ups and interactive prototypes, enabling students to simulate user interactions.
