EmpowHER Program

The EmpowHER program is a dynamic space crafted by participants, tailored to meet each cohort's unique needs. It empowers young women and girls with transferable skills and strong work ethics, addressing the employability gap for school graduates.

  • Mentorship & Networking:
    • Participants co-create flexible volunteer opportunities, addressing critical community needs while developing essential leadership skills
    • Each youth completes a minimum of 120 service hours within a year, gaining hands-on experience through a passion project, active mentorship, and career-enhancing opportunities

Program Details

The EmpowHER program is funded by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 12–30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community. The program tends to attract applicants from Law, Medicine, Business, and Education programs, although all programs are encouraged. Participants will have opportunities such as speaking engagements and attending public forums, workshops, and discussions.
