The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program is designed to provide residents with a comprehensive education and training experience. The program aims to equip residents with the necessary skills and knowledge to become board-certified clinical specialists in an academic medical center.

Resident Interests and Goals

The residents in the program have diverse professional interests and goals, including:

• Solid organ transplant and health equity
• Internal medicine and infectious disease
• Cardiology and critical care
• Pain management, palliative care, and substance use disorders
• Pediatrics, oncology, hematology, and translational research
• Critical care, emergency medicine, and global public health

The program consists of residents from various backgrounds and institutions, including:

Meade Avery, PharmD, MPH

• Earned Bachelor of Arts, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
• Professional interests: solid organ transplant and health equity
• Goal: to practice in an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist

Emily Baraclough, PharmD

• Earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy
• Professional interests: internal medicine and infectious disease
• Goal: to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist

Corinne Berkery, PharmD

• Earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Jefferson College of Pharmacy
• Professional interests: cardiology and critical care
• Goal: to practice at an academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist

Sadora Franklin, PharmD

• Earned Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh
• Professional interests: pain management, palliative care, and substance use disorders

Deslynne Henkel, PharmD

Mikayla Mariano, PharmD

Roxy Vassighi, PharmD

• Earned Bachelor's degree from Haverford College and Doctor of Pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy
• Professional interests: critical care and emergency medicine
• Goal: to practice at a large academic medical center as a board-certified clinical specialist and integrate her passion for global public health with her pharmacy training.
