MS in Applied AI & IoT Program Overview
The MS in Applied AI & IoT is a professional graduate program in Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The curriculum includes basic and advanced concepts in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Model, Computer Vision, Big Data, and Cloud Technologies.
Program Description
The program helps students identify and solve complex problems from various domains like Cyber, Network, IoT, Sensors, Robotics, etc. As part of this track, students will learn the full data science life cycle and its application to various domains. Machine learning courses are focused on the implementation of regression, classification, and clustering algorithms. Deep learning courses are focused on the application of image processing and sequencing/time series data using Convolution Neural Network and Recurrent Neural Network algorithms.
Program Requirements
The MS in Applied AI & IoT program requires 30 credit hours of coursework (10 courses). These courses will cover:
- Advanced concepts and techniques in machine learning, exploring sophisticated algorithms and methodologies for complex data analysis and modeling.
- Proficient Python programming skills for engineering applications, mastering advanced programming constructs and libraries essential for building Applied AI solutions.
- In-depth understanding of artificial intelligence principles, encompassing advanced theories, algorithms, and applications across various domains.
- Advanced methods for visualizing data effectively, utilizing cutting-edge visualization frameworks and tools to communicate insights clearly and persuasively.
- Advanced techniques in deep learning algorithms, diving into intricate neural network architectures and optimization strategies for tackling engineering problems in pattern recognition and perception.
- Skills in analyzing and deriving insights from large datasets, employing advanced techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining approaches to extract actionable intelligence.

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, applicants must:
- Have a 4-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field such as business administration from an accredited university with a minimum of "B" average in the upper-level (the last 60 credit hours).
- Have some programming knowledge.
- Submit official transcripts of each previously attended university (undergraduate and graduate) in an envelope sealed by the degree granting institution.
- International applicants whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
- 80 on the iBT TOEFL (equivalent to 550 on the paper-based version of the Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- 6.5 overall on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- 53 Pearson Test of English – Academic
- Cambridge English – Advanced
- 110 Duolingo English Test – Combined
- English Language Institute certification of satisfactory completion of all content areas with at least level six (6) proficiency
- Applicants who hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited institution where the language of instruction is English

STEM Designation
The Master of Science in Applied AI & IoT is a STEM-designated program. After program completion, international students have the opportunity of Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows students to work within the U.S. for a specified period of time – currently up to 36 months (1 year regular OPT + 2 years STEM OPT) for STEM designated programs.
Tuition
The total cost of the Master of Science in Applied AI & IoT program is currently $17,142.25 plus semester fees (approximately $20,000). Tuition will be calculated each semester based on the number of courses enrolled.

Student Stories
From Turkey studying in Florida It is one of the largest university campuses I have ever been to as I struggled to find the places that I needed to be multiple times. Food choices are great, library is phenomenal, and water fountains are very pleasing to sit by. SASC Building has very interesting architecture.
Studying in Florida I went here for my undergrad back several years ago and came back for my graduates. This university is a blast of culture and learning. Most of the professors are amazing, there's clubs for everything, classes that range from odd to amazing and everything in between. They keep adding to MMC making new buildings, bringing in new vendors, and creating new art.
It's an awesome campus. Everyone is nice and helpful. It's not loud. The students are very chill. There are students of all ages and backgrounds, from the 20s to 30s to the 40s to the 50s...you get the jist. Anyway, there are many international students as well. I like that everything is there for the students. All kinds of activities, restaurants and more importantly help. There is help for anything and everything they need. They have free private counseling for anyone that needs it. They make sure that each student takes a mandatory training session on identifying someone in need or danger. They are big on safety for sure. It's a good place. It's expensive but think about all they offer. My fave part, the have some of the best professors. I'm in Creative Writing and many of my professors are Published Authors!
