Overview

The Lean Construction Certification program at Florida International University transforms participants into effective Lean practitioners who drive efficiency in their construction projects by improving design, trade contractor relationships, communication, scope definition, coordination, cost, and schedule performance. Lean Construction participants will learn a "production management-based approach to project delivery" with tools and techniques specifically customized for the construction industry, including:

Program Details

The program consists of 13 consecutive weekly classes, providing a 40-hour certification that will equip participants with the know-how to execute construction projects using lean principles. The course outline includes:

Program Tuition and Schedule

The tuition for the Lean Construction program is a one-time flat rate fee of $1,650. A Certificate of Completion is awarded after attending all course dates, completing all assigned coursework, and participating in in-class activities.

Most of the professors are amazing, there's clubs for everything, classes that range from odd to amazing and everything in between. They keep adding to MMC making new buildings, bringing in new vendors, and creating new art.

It's an awesome campus. Everyone is nice and helpful. It's not loud. The students are very chill. There are students of all ages and backgrounds, from the 20s to 30s to the 40s to the 50s...you get the jist. Anyway, there are many international students as well. I like that everything is there for the students. All kinds of activities, restaurants and more importantly help. There is help for anything and everything they need. They have free private counseling for anyone that needs it. They make sure that each student takes a mandatory training session on identifying someone in need or danger. They are big on safety for sure. It's a good place. It's expensive but think about all they offer. My fave part, the have some of the best professors. I'm in Creative Writing and many of my professors are Published Authors!
