Master of Social Work Program

The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Florida International University is a 60-credit graduate degree designed for students pursuing clinical social work careers. Application Deadlines

The MSW program uses rolling admissions. The deadlines for submission of materials are as follows:

• Fall Semester: June 1 for domestic applicants, February 15 for international applicants
• Spring Semester: October 1 for domestic applicants, August 1 for international applicants
• Summer Semester (Advanced Standing only): March 1 for domestic applicants, December 1 for international applicants

Admission Requirements

To qualify for the MSW program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3.0 GPA in upper-division coursework
• Grade of C or better in:
  • Biology with human content (3 credits)
  • Statistics (3 credits)
  • 12 credits in Social Sciences
• International applicants whose native language is not English must submit:
  • TOEFL iBT/PBT: 80/550
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Duolingo English Test: 110
