The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Florida International University is a 60-credit graduate degree designed for students pursuing clinical social work careers. Application Deadlines
The MSW program uses rolling admissions. The deadlines for submission of materials are as follows:
- Fall Semester: June 1 for domestic applicants, February 15 for international applicants
- Spring Semester: October 1 for domestic applicants, August 1 for international applicants
- Summer Semester (Advanced Standing only): March 1 for domestic applicants, December 1 for international applicants
Admission Requirements
To qualify for the MSW program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in upper-division coursework
- Grade of C or better in:
- Biology with human content (3 credits)
- Statistics (3 credits)
- 12 credits in Social Sciences
- International applicants whose native language is not English must submit:
- TOEFL iBT/PBT: 80/550
- IELTS: 6.5
- Duolingo English Test: 110
