Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Complete an Associate in Arts (AA) degree
- Complete all prerequisites with a grade of C or higher
- All prerequisites must be completed by the end of Spring term to be eligible for Fall admission or by the end of Summer term to be eligible for Spring admission
- Cumulative Transfer GPA: 3.25 or higher
- Average GPA of accepted students is 3.7
- Complete the Nursing Entrance Exam ATI TEAS (7th Edition) with a minimum 70% Comprehensive/Total Score and 62% Science Score
Special Notes
- Applicants must complete both the FIU admissions application and NursingCAS Application (Centralized Application Service for Nursing Programs).
- Students who earn a grade of C- or below in any science prerequisite may repeat that course only once. Students who earn a grade of C- or below in any science prerequisite for a second time will work with an academic advisor for redirection to another major.
- Science prerequisites must have been taken within the last 10 years and must be finished by the time the application is submitted.
- MAC 1105 (College Algebra) is not required for this program. Select MGF or STA courses that satisfy the AA.
