The Bachelor of Arts in Physics is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of physics principles and their applications.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, students must:
- Complete an Associate in Arts (AA) degree
- Complete all prerequisites with a grade of C or higher
- Have a cumulative Transfer GPA of 2.0 or higher
Special Notes
It is strongly encouraged that students complete math and science courses every term to make satisfactory progress toward completing all prerequisites and the AA degree prior to transfer. An additional lower division course, MAP 2302 Introduction to Differential Equations, is required for this program and should be taken prior to completing the AA degree.

- PHY 2049 + PHY 2049L Physics with Calculus 2 + Lab
Biophysics Concentration Requirements
For students pursuing the Biophysics concentration, the following additional courses are required:
- BSC 2010 + BSC 2010L Principles of Biology 1 + Lab
- BSC 2011 + BSC 2011L Principles of Biology 2 + Lab
- CHM 2210 + CHM 2210L Organic Chemistry 1 + Lab
- CHM 2211 + CHM 2211L Organic Chemistry 2 + Lab
Additional Lower Division Courses
